CITY ARCHIVE |
Everybody knows that Bangor City Football Club's hard-working Supporters' Association is doing its best for the future of the Club but now fans are helping safeguard the club's heritage by taking the first steps towards setting up a collection celebrating the club's history.
Presenting the University with a collection of programmes from City's great European matches, along with photographs, scarves and pennants, Programme Editor and Supporters' Association member Huw Pritchard said:

"Preserving the past is important to any club - especially one with as glorious a history as that of Bangor City. I'm sure that many important items such as photographs, medals and programmes are thrown away when the owner dies, or a house is being cleared out, so we are delighted to be able to work with the University to offer these important pieces of local history a safe and secure home."
Bangor University Archivist Einion Thomas said, "This is an unique opportunity to bring together interesting and rare material relating to the history of the club, a club that has played such an integral part in the social and sporting history of Bangor."
