NANTPORTH - A STATEMENT ON BEHALF OF BANGOR CITY FC

Following the City Council Decision to approve the move to the Nantporth site I can make the following comments on behalf of the club.

The decision taken by the Council has no bearing on Planning or other approvals already in place. The decision was required to enable the developer to proceed with construction at Nantporth.

EXCELLENT - IT'S OFFICAL!

"After a troubled close season Bangor City and their excellent supporters will I’m sure be more than happy to be able to concentrate on Football. There have been a number of comings and goings at Farrar Road, but Manager Clayton Blackmore should have put a squad together that will be good enough to give them three points against Newi Cefn Druids." - John Deakin in Welsh Premier Times
KEEPING THE FAITH
Bangor City Supporters' Association is a body independent of Bangor City Football Club, but with a real voice in running the Club. The Supporters' Association Chair is automatically a member of the Board of the Football Club and there is now a regular exchange of views and news between Supporters' Association members and the directors of the Club.

Formed in 2004, the Association holds social and fundraising events, such as Sportsman's Dinners, Casino Nights, Annual 7-a-side Tournament, Veterans' Cup, Annual Duck Race, BBQs, Matchday Raffle, Big Prize Raffles, SA merchandise and many other events aimed at getting supporters together, raisisng funds for all sections of the Club - and having a good time!

Funds raised by the Supporters' Association have already contributed towards the signing-on fees of important first-team players, assisting with the financial committments of the club as agreed by members and have also purchased over £250-worth of training equipment for the Club's Youth Academy. The Supporters' Association has also received shares from the Club in recognition of the increasing support that it has been able to provide.

In addition to helping the Club, members of the Supporters' Association can take advantage of offers of organised travel to away matches (contact Dewi Osian on 0772 5690984, or Geraint Jones 07950 797197) discounts on Club merchandise, and season ticket discounts for unwaged fans who are members of the Association.

Check out the BCFCSA Minutes for more detail on activities and opportunities.

Meetings are held every first Thursday of the month in The Regency Hotel (opposite Bangor Railway Station).

Membership forms are available here.
