BCFCSA CONSTITUTION
Bangor City Football Club Supporters Association

CONSTITUTION

1.NAME

1.1 The Association will be known as “The Bangor City Football Club Supporters Association” (BCFCSA).


2.AIM OF THE ASSOCIATION

2.1 The Association shall aim to be a voice on behalf of independent supporters of Bangor City Football Club.

2.2 The Association will ensure that the views and concerns of their membership regarding BCFC are brought to the attention of the appropriate authorities.

2.3 To liase with BCFC and assist with both support and donations.

2.4 To act in a manner that will uphold the good name and reputation of BCFC at all times.


3.MEMBERSHIP

3.1 Membership shall be for 1 season by annual subscription

3.2 All BCFC of any age may apply for membership.

3.3 Application forms can be obtained from any committee member or via the www.citizens-choice.co.uk, www.bangorcityfc.com and www.bcfcsa.com websites.

3.4 Each member will be issued with
(A) A membership card (B) An association metal badge (C)A copy of the constitution

3.5 Any application that in unsuccessful with their application will be informed in writing giving the reason why. The applicant will have 14 days to appeal against their refusal, which will be heard by the association committee.


4. SUBSCRIPTION

4.1 Subscription rates will be £5 with concessionary rates as follows-
Students, Older citizens and Unemployed - £3 & Under 16’s - £1

4.2 The committee will review the amount of subscription Annually, Informing the AGM of their decision.

4.3 Subscription term shall be from August to July


5. CESSATION OF MEMBERSHIP

5.1 The committee may terminate the membership of any person that it shall in it’s absolute discretion think fit.

5.2 Any member who has his membership terminate will be informed in writing the reason why their membership has been terminated. The member will have 14 days to appeal against the termination. The appeal will be heard in front of the elected Association committee.

5.3 Any member who wishes to terminate his membership may do so by writing to the Chairman.


6.COMMITTEE

6.1 The Committee is formed of 10 member’s ;these will be the Association’s representatives and are elected to make decisions as necessary on behalf of the association.

6.2 To enable continuity the following posts of office will be elected annually.
(A) Chairman (B) Vice-Chairman( C) Secretary (D) Treasurer (E)Raffle co-ordinator (F)Away Travel Co-ordinator (G) Auditor.

6.3 On completion of their term of office they may stand for re-election to the committee, and if successful stand for election in one of the above posts.

6.4 Two members of the committee are to stand down annually, though they may stand for re-election at the same AGM.

6.5 A minimum of two members are to be elected annually, if there are more candidates for election than position available , the candidates returning the highest number of votes will be elected to serve on the committee.

6.6 Votes will be accepted by post, E-mail or show of hands, each member may only vote for one candidate.

6.7 Committee meeting will be held when deemed necessary by the committee or when requested by any other committee member.

6.8 Minutes of the committee meetings will be available to any member who requests a copy and will also be posted on the www.citizens-choice.co.uk, www.bangorcityfc.com and www.bcfcsa.com websites.


7.MEETINGS

7.1 The AGM of the Association shall be held annually in July. All members will be informed of the venue when they receive their calling notices.

7.2 Any matters that members wish to discuss at the AGM are to be submitted to the secretary in writing by a date that will be published on the calling notice.

7.3 The secretary will be responsible for despatching the calling notice for the AGM at least 21 days prior to the said date. A copy of the statement of and a proposed agenda are to accompany the calling notice.

7.4 Minutes of the AGM will be available to any member who requests a copy. A copy will also be placed on the www.citizens-choice.co.uk, www.bangorcityfc.com and www.bcfcsa.com.

7.5 Any member, providing he has the support of 10 other members may request an Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM). The request by all parties at to be sent to the secretary who will convene an EGM at the earliest opportunity.

7.6 This constitution can only be amended outside of the AGM providing 75% of the membership support the amendment.

7.7 Any updates to the constitution will be discussed annually at the AGM, With any amendment being made by majority vote.

7.8 Junior members are welcome to attend any AGM/EGM but will only be able to vote once they have reached the age of 16.


8 FINANCES

8.1 Two Committee members are to be nominated as signatories and all funds drawn on the account are to bear two signatures.

8.2 The balance of the account is not to drop below £50.00, without the membership being informed.

8.3 Any donation over £1000.00 is to be discussed by the full committee.

8.4 The Treasurer is to balance the accounts monthly, informing all committee members of the balance of the account.

8.5 The yearly accounts are to be closed for audit from May, annually. The balance sheet is also to be forward to all members with the calling notice for the AGM.
