Put AUGUST 16th In your diaries. BCFC play Llanelli in the first game of the season. As you may know the Club were issued with a £5000 fine and another £5000 suspended till the end of the season from the FAW after some supporters invaded the field of play.
We don’t in any way condone the actions of these supporters, However we do feel that we have been treated unfairly and that £10000 is excessive compared to other incidents which have recently been reported.
Anyway, We feel that the best way to deal with the situation is to attract 1500 supporters to Farrar Road on the 16th , doing this could possibly raise around £8000 which could be used to pay off at least some of the fine !! . . . . If we can get 1500 people to travel all the way to Newtown then surely we can get the same numbers to travel the short distance to Farrar Road.
So what we are asking you is to please support this idea and turn up on the 16th with as many of your family members and friends. Let’s show the FAW and the rest of welsh football that when called upon we can stand strong, unite and represent the Club in huge numbers.
We are going to town with advertising this game so look out for the posters. In fact we are desperate for volunteers to help with postering for this and all other home games.
Can you help by taking a few posters off us every other week?. Do you know of a shop/ business where we could put posters up every other week, If so then please do your little bit by asking for their permission to advertise the games.
